Three things I did not know:
1. Serkis began acting as Gollum as an assistance to actors before they began motion capturing him.
2. The doubled frame rate is assisting with motion capture smoothness.
3. Originally, motion capture was done with reflective dots, but is now instead done with infrared LEDs.
Two opinions:
1. I don't think I'd like 48fps. I hate the fakeness that the motion smoothness setting on newer TVs bring, and this is similar.
2. I hope The Hobbit is better than some of the reviews say it is.
One question:
1. Why is Serkis not taken seriously as an actor? Watch him act in behind the scenes footage on the internet, he's amazing. Seriously.
