Well, folks. This is it... for now. But worry not, most of us will be back next year. Until then, here's my class evaluation:
1. In general, what did you like most about this class?
Hmm. I guess the obvious answer is the animating. sometimes it can be stressful, annoying, angering, etc., but it can also be pretty relaxing and fun. I'll probably continue to animate in my free time after this year ends.
2. What was your favorite project and why?
The final project. I'm really proud of how that one turned out, and going back to my earlier animation, it just shows how much I progressed through the year. Even 3D animation helped me on my final project, as I got used to using different camera techniques.
3. In general, what did you like least about this class?
This class takes up a lot of time, but it's nothing I can't handle. It does put a shortage on my studying for other tests, but I got through those alright. Honestly, there wasn't a lot I didn't like.
Oh, and storyboards, but there's not a whole lot anyone can do about that.
4. What was your least favorite project and why?
If I never rotoscope again in my life, I'll die a happy man. It just eats up time.
5. What are your future plans upon graduation?
College, for film. Somewhere. I wish I knew where, but I don't.
6. Do you feel that this class will help you achieve your future academic or career goals? Please give specific examples.
I'm really planning on focusing in on film, so I'll probably have a much better answer to this next year. I think this class has improved my art skills greatly and taught me that for every problem, there's a solution. Always.
7. What advice would you give to incoming students?
Storyboards are an absolute pain. Do them anyway.
8. Additional comments:
None.
Have a great summer everyone.

What I learned this week: How to be proud of something you've created.
What I want to learn in the future: Summertime.
Something that frustrated you this week: People mocking the accent Tom Hanks' accent in Forrest gump. It wasn't funny the third time, so what makes you think it would be the 104th?
Something that made you happy: Relaxing after-school with friends again. And by relaxing, I mean vigorous games of 4 Square.
I think we only have two weeks of blogs left!
Beastie Boys - Sabotage remake
As a tribute to MCA, a filmmaker took his sons and nephew and remade the Beastie Boy's hit video "Sabotage" (fun fact: directed by Spike Jonze).
Unfortunately the video has gone private, but it's still watchable on this article here.

What I learned this week: OHMYGOD TIME MANAGEMENT
What I want to learn in the future: I want to learn how to summer. That's a verb now.
Something that frustrated you this week: The AP US History exam can go to hell. Sorry, but ugh, so frustrated.
Something that made you happy: I'm almost out of the "two weeks of hell". Just have to finish this project and I'm done. Then I can relax for a little bit, take some bike rides, enjoy the outdoors, sleep well at night, hang out with friends, etc, etc.
Parks and Rec: The Best of Perd
Along with Community, Louie, and Archer, Parks and Rec is the best comedy on television right now. It's like classic Office, but about 10 times as good.
One of my favorite characters on the show is Perd Hapley, a local reporter who never really knows what he's talking about, but in a very innocent way. Here's his best moments:
(should mention, the video contains spoilers from last night's season finale. If you watch the show or ever plan to and haven't seen last night's episode, stop before the last 20 seconds or so)

Tabletop
I don't know how many of you are familiar with YouTube's new "premium" channels, but they're pretty awesome. If super amazing content keeps coming from sources other than cable, we'll continue in the right direction of a cable-less (and cheaper) future.
Anyway, here's Wil Wheaton's (Star Trek: TNG, Stand By Me) new show, Tabletop, where he plays board games and whatnot.
