Water Wigs

Three things I did not know:
1. That this was possible. No, seriously. I didn't know you could get a picture of a water ballon on someone's head like this.
2. That he had to make his studio completely dark and use a super fast flash to get it to work.
3. That you could use a microphone to trigger a flash going off.

Two opinions:
1. My first thought was "LOLWUT?" but this is honestly a really cool way to make art. And that mohawk shot? Awesome.
2. The pictures look so saturated, they almost look fake.

One question:
1. Are the pictures saturated like that because of something like photoshop or because of the way the flash works? I know he used colored backgrounds but seriously.
